English IV: Advanced Grammar and Composition

The purpose of this course is to aid students to better appreciate God’s gift of language through a review of fundamental grammar and punctuation, vocabulary study, and examination of and practice in writing a variety of essay genres.

Students must maintain a vocabulary notebook for this class.  The words will be studied in groups of 20 and at the conclusion of each unit a vocabulary test will be given.  The first list is contained in this link:  List 1-20.pdf
